It seems a fella broke down on the side of a country road and had to hitch a ride into town. It wasn't long before a farmer with a horse drawn wagon pulled up to a stop and offered him a ride into town.
They proceeded down the road sitting side by side on the buckboard and the fella with the car problems settled back and enjoyed the scenery. After about 5 minutes the farmer reined in the horse and, when they had stopped, he reached forward to shove his middle finger up the horse's ass. He then proceeded to wipe the finger all over his lips. With a quick snap of the reins they were once again clip clopping their way into town. Now the city fella didn't quite know what to make about this but he said nothing.
Another 5 minutes later, the farmer reined in the horse again, stuck his finger up the horse's ass again, and; you guessed it; wiped the finger all over his lips again.
This time the city fella couldn't contain his curiosity and asked the farmer why he was doing it. The farmer said "Because I have chapped lips."
The city fella asked "Does that help?"
The farmer replied "No! But it keeps me from licking them."
